UpfrontPDF is a small set of file tools built around three promises: your file never leaves your computer, free outputs never expire, and the price you see is the price you pay.

It is run by MC AI Studio LLC, a one-person company in New York. It is a personal project, not affiliated with any employer.

Why

The established file-tool sites do the job and then charge for it in ways that surprise people: QR codes that stop working after a trial, a monthly price that bills a year, cancellations that need an email. We built the version without those. Every tool runs in the browser, which is also why it costs so little to run that most of it can be free.

Open about the limits

Scanned PDFs (pictures of pages) need OCR, which we do not run yet. Table detection in PDFs is good on regular tables and rougher on ragged ones. Strong PDF compression turns pages into images. Each tool page says which of these applies.
